Are you a T'chiyah member? (If not -- make sure that you fill out your New Member Form to take part in this exciting evening!)
On Sunday, October 13, Rabbi Alana will be hosting members of the congregation to welcome in the holiday of Sukkot in her backyard sukkah! Think of this as a low-key, heimish (homey) way of getting closer with other T'chiyah members and welcoming in zman simchateinu - "the time of our rejoicing" - together!
EVENT DETAILS:
- Gather for a local lulav making activity with materials provided Hazon Detroit! This lulav will make use of plants that are local to our region, rather than importing them from afar!
- Dinner will be a pesce/vegetarian, nut-free potluck. Please bring a dish to share, and be sure label your food with name of dish, ingredients list, and name of who prepared it, paying special attention to common allergens like gluten, soy, dairy, sesame, etc.
-
Please see this list of foods that contain nuts and make sure that your food does not include them!
- This will be a family-friendly event - bring your kiddos and babies, and whatever they might need to feel comfortable.
- We'll be gathering outside in and around the sukkah - bring an extra layer to stay cozy!
