Let all who are seeking community, come celebrate (online!)
We are excited to welcome you to join us at 5 PM ET on Saturday, April 16 for an online Passover seder led by members of our beloved community. As we've done in recent years, we will recruit congregants to lead the different sections of the traditional haggadah and infuse it with their own reflections, questions, and creativity. If you are able to give a reading, share some reflections, or otherwise lead section of the seder, please communicate this with Jake before April 7.
We will gather via Zoom, and will make occasional use of breakout rooms for small group discussion. Words to our prayers and readings will be shown on screen. We'll follow the Reconstructionist A Night of Questions as our guiding text, but you are welcome to follow along in any haggadah of your choice, or to just rely on the words on-screen. There's no need to bring anything besides yourself, but we invite you to prepare a personal seder plate so that you can participate along from wherever you're Zooming-in. (Don't forget to add in some items that are particularly meaningful for YOU and the stories you carry!)
We invite attendees to gather with one another in-person, as they are able. If you are looking for a seder to attend in the Detroit area, or can accommodate guest(s) around your table, please use our matchmaking form and we will try to find a good fit for you.
NOTE: This event is open to members of T'chiyah and non-members alike.
For any questions, please contact us.
