Part 2 of our "Getting Good with Getting Older" series with Rabbi Geller!
Join us on Monday, October 5 at 7 PM EDT as Rabbi Geller leads us in study and practice of the Jewish tradition of the Ethical Will, as introduced in the transformative final chapter of her book, Getting Good at Getting Older. This edifying practice - which may be new to some of us! - is especially appropriate to help us celebrate the holiday of Sukkot, which invites us to find gratitude in that which is impermanent.
For those of us perennials, this event will launch a series of peer-led sessions that will provide an opportunity where we can discuss and work through Rabbi Geller’s amazing manual, in line T’chiyah's commitment to create intentional spaces to specifically support the interests of the various identity groups in our midst.
**This session and the continuing series that follows will be open to all, whether you are a T'chiyah member or not.**
Please read the last chapter of Getting Good at Getting Older on "Ethical Wills" in preparation for the class. If you need a book, they have been ordered and are on hand for you to pick up immediately at The Book Beat in Oak Park. Call the store at 248 968 1190 and let them know you are from T’chiyah when you will be picking up your copy. Please reimburse T’chiyah the cost of $17.95 each by mailing a check or making your payment as a one-time donation on line.
