Accessible, Musical Family Services Every Month!
T'chiyah is a growing, intergenerational congregation with an increasing number of babies, kiddos and young members in our midst. In 2018, thanks to a grant from the D. Dan & Betty Kahn Foundation, we conducted community research to assess the needs of our young families and piloted our Babies, Bubbies, and Babka Shabbat service - with great success! The positivity of our 2018 test run encouraged us to give the people what they want: BBB every month!
Our BBB service is a bite-sized version of our standard Saturday morning service that is especially:
- intergenerational,
- musical,
- accessible,
- kid-centric,
- designed by families, for families!
As a result, it offers people of all ages an opportunity to get oriented to the structure, meaning and melodies of Shabbat - while getting to celebrate some of our cutest members!
The BBB service is typically held at the Mondry Building, 15000 W 10 Mile Rd, Oak Park.
Kiddush and allergen-sensitive snack provided!
We are looking to grow our core of enthusiastic parents who lead BBB and shape what Jewish education looks like in our community.
